Happy Australia Day to you all

(my scheduled post did not publish when it was supposed to - oops - but here it is now :) )

Hi everyone, Happy Australia Day to you all

I hope you have been able to spend it exactly how you wished ............. I know I have :)

Mr Fixit had an extra-long weekend for the holiday - it was his rostered day off (RDO) on Friday, and he was able to take 'time off in lieu' (TOIL) for Monday and with the Public Holiday on Tuesday, he had himself a 5 day break!

The cricket was on the TV so Mr Fixit was suitably entertained for the actual Australia Day Holiday - I got to spend my time in the sewing room and work on a few things :)

I have been working on my Farmer's Wife Quilt and knew that when it reached the width of my 'design wall' it is wide enough to fit on top of the queen bed - with the addition of the latest row, I just had to put it on the bed to get an idea on how it was going to look :)

very pleased with my progress so far!
Progress Shot- On a Queen Size Bed
Here is a block I made using the templates from the book (which was the catalyst for me searching out rotary cutting instructions)

Block 18 - Century of Progress
I have posted previously how happy I was with the Farmer's Wife Quilt Revival rotary cutting instructions - I blogged about Lesson 1 HERE

I did purchase Lesson 2, but on going through the list, I realised I had already made all of the blocks, except one.
Block 34 - Flock
I am loving these rotary cutting instructions - Karen has a special on for the month of January - buy one, get one free :)  so if you have been thinking about trying these instructions, now is a good opportunity to do so!  I am confident you won't regret it!  Please visit her blog HERE or go direct to her CRAFTSY store!

I have two more blocks from Lesson 3 to finish this weekend and that will be my January goal of finishing Lesson 3 accomplished!

Stay tuned for another Farmer's Wife Quilt progress post :)

Thank you for visiting my blog today - I hope you have a good day - any day doing something you love makes it a good day ;-)

Doing what you like is freedom. Liking what you do is happiness.
